Children's Ministry

Children's Ministry

At Grace Church Monterey Bay, our kids, 0-5yrs old, experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way.

Our goal is to come alongisde parents in helping them fulfill their biblical parenting responsibilities. Our Sunday morning program—Children of Grace—evangelizes children and uses Scripture-based curriculum to teach kids about the character of God in age-appropriate ways. In a safe and clean environement, CoG provides an attractive, captivating, and challenging place for children to desire to learn about our Lord.

Our Children of Grace ministry operates every week except for our Family Worship Service on the last Sunday of every month.

What to Expect

Check-In Process

Whether it's your first or hundreth time, our friendly volunteers will greet you at the CoG check-in table in the courtyard near our classrooms. Check-in is open from 10:15-10:30am on Sunday mornings, and again after our music and announcement time in the Worship Center (see Our Classrooms below)

For new families, our registration volunteers will need to collect the following information:

• Registering parent/guardian's name, email address, and phone number

• Child's name, age and birthdate, and allergy/medical information

After checking-in your child, they'll receive a wearable identification sticker and you'll receive a security code sticker that you'll use to check-out your child after service. DO NOT LOSE THIS STICKER!

Our Classrooms

We offer two classrooms for different age groups: Nursery (0-2's) and 3-5's

If you're the parent of an infant, you are welcome to check-in your child and leave them with our Nursery volunteers starting at 10:15am.

If you're the parent of a 3-5yr old, you are encouraged to check-in your child before service starts, but your child will remain with you through the music and announcement portion of our Worship Service. We want our children to worship with us on Sundays so they can see and experience adult believers participating in singing Christ-exalting hymns, reciting doctrine, and reading God's Word! Children will then be dismissed to their classrooms during the Meet'n'Greet time. And don't worry, if you missed check-in, it'll be open again at this time.

During service, please keep your cellphone on vibrate in case one of our volunteers needs to contact you about your child—such as if they need to use the restroom or require a parent for discipline.

Check-out Process

Following service, please head back to the classroom area to check-out your child. You will be asked to present your security code sticker in order to check-out your child. Please note, for safety reasons, only adults with the security sticker will be able to collect their children from their classrooms. To make alternative arrangements, please talk with our check-in volunteers prior to service.
